FAQ
Do I need a prescription for Physical Therapy?
No. As of July 1, 2024 Mississippi is a direct access state meaning you do not need a referral from a physician to access physical therapy services.
Do you accept Insurance?
We do not directly accept insurance. We are a cash-based PT service and accept all major credit cards.
Can I be reimbursed?
Depending on your insurance, you may be eligible for reimbursement. Call your insurance company and ask if they reimburse for cash-based PT services.
How do I schedule a PT visit?
Go to Schedule with Roux and submit the form. We will give you a call shortly after to schedule your virtual introduction and your in-person evaluation. For follow up visits you will schedule directly with the therapist.
How should I prepare for my PT visit?
Please have all intake paperwork completed and emailed to hello@rouxpilates.com and payments submitted prior to your initial evaluation. If you have any medical records and/or recent imaging pertaining to your area of pain please have these records accessible and available for review at your initial evaluation. Please dress in attire that allows you to move freely and expose the area of concern (ie if you have knee pain please wear shorts or pants that can be easily rolled up). Designate an area in your home for your treatment session, ideally a room with ample floor and wall space, minimal clutter and somewhere to sit. All PT and workout equipment is provided.
